Yes, this is the X-Files I missed. Darin Morgan should write all the episodes. "Creature who gets bitten by a man and turns into a were-man" has been done before, but perhaps never so charmingly. Mulder and Scully felt more Mulder and Scullyish than they have in the last two episodes, and they were a heck of a lot more fun to be around.

I feel like they finally figured out how to have fun with the changes in the world since 2001, such as Mulder's camera app, the were-man's job spouting incomprehensible phone jargon to confused customers, etc. They were sort of there with Jeff Winger's YouTube show, but this seemed more natural.

Loved the fleabag motel with the owner who peeping tomed through taxidermied animal heads.

The headstone for Kim Manners got me a little.
