Meep. I finished A Game of Thrones last night. I am now officially scarred for life. George R. R. Martin is a sadistic bugger, playing with out brains like that. Main characters shouldn't...augh.

And I'm creeped out, too. The ending scene? That was like Piers Anthony meets John Steinbeck meets Tolkien. Remember the last scene in The Grapes of Wrath, where Rose of Sharon is nursing the starving man? Was so getting flashbacks to that. Which is bad, 'cause I hated that book.

But now I want the next one in this series...
