icepixie | Writing and literary metaphors (Reply)

I hate it when I run into my own personal white whales. Ever have an idea that you desperately want to get onto paper, but no matter how many times you try, it never comes out as bright and shiny as it is in your head? I've got one of those right now...I've written the thing (~1000 words) three times now, from different points of view, tenses, etc. etc., while keeping the same basic concept, and no matter what I do, it just doesn't turn out. I hate it when this happens.

*goes off to write fourth version of idea*
