Bwaaaahahaha! I don't think I've ever had that many disasters happen in one meal. Yet, anyway.

Sorry about the cat. Does your vet have any tips about helping him be less agressive?

Thanks. We actually think it may be the cats from the house down the street that are fighting with him as he tries to run away--they don't spay or neuter the fifty million cats that live in their yard, and there's a particularly nasty tom that likes to come into our yard occasionally. Either way, he's eventually going to get into a bad fight or get hit by a car (much as I love him, he is terribly stupid), so he needs to be somewhere where they can keep him inside all the time. Plus I'm really the only one who likes him, and since I'm here a grand total of four months out of the year, my opinion doesn't count for a lot where he's concerned. Which, y'know, is as it should be, but is still sad.
