- Major Davis! Wheee!

Whee, indeed! I adore Major Davis. I wish he'd gotten more to do in this ep, but I hold on to the hope that he'll be back for more eps this season.

- Um, Jack? You seem to have an unusual lack of dedication to getting "your" team back, and little in the way of private angst over it outside of the locker room.

I thought so, too. That may be the biggest reason I didn't feel much of a sense of urgency during all this. He didn't really seem as angsty as I would have expected.

- Jack, sweetie, being rule-bound like that is a great way to get people killed.

Yes! When was that rule invented? They've always let SG1 through the gate before, no matter where they'd been. Geez. Jack said something about not knowing whether or not their code had been compromised, but dude, he was talking to them, he knew who they were.

- I'm never gonna get tired of these credits. (It's the choir. Put a choir in anything and I'm happy; I'm that big of a choir geek.)

Oh my, yes. I love the credits. The theme is terrific, sort of the SG1 theme with a minor twist, and I loooove the inclusion of the choir. Perfect.

- "Well, you have a cling-on." *cracks up* I love Beckett! I love him! I want to hug him and squeeze him and call him Pippin! (I take it the producers realized that people would start calling him "Scotty" early on...)

Heh. They could also make McCoy jokes, since he's the doctor and all.

- Beckett? Are you calling Ford "son"? That's...weird.

Did he? That's odd. Ford's young and all, but...I dunno, maybe it's a Scottish thing.

And does anyone know what else the actor has been in? He looks a lot like the guy who played Ed on Northern Exposure, but I looked him up, and it's actually a guy named Ben Cotton. Anyone?

I didn't recognize him, but IMDB says he's guested on Smallville, so I saw him then.

- Is it just me, or is anyone else seeing more UST between Sheppard and Ford than Sheppard and Teyla?

There's more UST b/w Sheppard and the PuddleJumper than b/w him and Teyla.

- Okay, third time with the stock shot of the city. It's awesome, don't get me wrong, but did they spend the entire season's effects budget on it?

I kinda like it as a transition back to the show after each commercial break. A good way to make sure I don't miss any dialogue when editing out commercials. So many series have them talking immediately after the break, so it's easy to miss stuff.

Three great eps in a row! This show is really on a roll :)
