I thought so, too. That may be the biggest reason I didn't feel much of a sense of urgency during all this. He didn't really seem as angsty as I would have expected.
I think that was my main gripe, too.
Yes! When was that rule invented? They've always let SG1 through the gate before, no matter where they'd been. Geez. Jack said something about not knowing whether or not their code had been compromised, but dude, he was talking to them, he knew who they were.
I was so confuzzled. Um, hello, they were on the radio...maybe you can't be absolutely certain it isn't someone impersonating them, or that they aren't being held hostage and made to say these things, but still!
Heh. They could also make McCoy jokes, since he's the doctor and all.
Oh, yes, they could. "I'm a doctor, not a jumper pilot/Gate technician/Wraith-bait!"
Did he? That's odd. Ford's young and all, but...I dunno, maybe it's a Scottish thing.
I think that's what he said, but it might have been "sir." Couldn't really tell with the accent.
There's more UST b/w Sheppard and the PuddleJumper than b/w him and Teyla.
Bwahahaha! So true! OMG, I wanna see someone write this now.
I kinda like it as a transition back to the show after each commercial break.
It worked this time because the show operated in something resembling real time, so the sun wouldn't get too far up. But if they do that in the future, when they're all over time-of-day-wise, it might start looking very odd.
A good way to make sure I don't miss any dialogue when editing out commercials. So many series have them talking immediately after the break, so it's easy to miss stuff.
Yeah--much as I hated the Sci-Fi Bitch of yore, she was good at letting you know that the show was going to be back on in ten seconds.
