I was soooo relieved to see this. Damn. When the shuttle first crashed, I admit I did have Voyager flashbacks.
I used to love Voyager when I was twelve and stupid, but now any mention of it makes me cringe. I think that has to be one of the biggest dropped balls in sci-fi TV history. Farscape had a similar premise (at least on paper) and went to great places with it; Voyager just went nowhere. *sigh* And it could've been so good, dammit!
I actually loved SG-1. I love Teal'c though, and any Teal'c character development is ok by me.
I like Teal'c a lot, but I didn't think we really learned anything new about him--he doesn't give up, he's a great warrior, blah blah blah. Heard it all before, and done better, too. Although I have to admit that the part where he sank down the floor in defeat was really quite powerful.
