Huh, it didn't occur to me, but I can see where it does a bit. I loved the period flair to it all.

The period stuff was nice. And I appreciate anything even vaguely steampunk.

So far it seems Carson's a medical doctor, a molecular biologist, a geneticist, and a xenobiologist. He must be a genius ;)

I think everyone who came to Atlantis is a genius in some way... ;)

I loved that joke! It had to happen sooner or later, and this was a brilliant way to do it. Rodney laughed too, so you know they're all a big bunch of Trekkers.

I'm interested in that as well. I want to know if they really did lose half or more of their population, and what that will mean for them.
