Another episode earlier had me thinking losing side of WWII with the uniforms. I don't know if it's on purpose or not.
Was it the SG-1 ep from earlier in the season, "Icon"? 'Cause, yeah. Definitely Nazi-ish.
Wouldn't it be easier to not let them in on the fact that you actually really need the food? Lizzie needs to do the negotiating. "So, um, hi. We want to trade with you, but because I suck at trading, do you mind coming with me through this big round thing to a strange world full of people you don't know or trust so you can negotiate with my boss?"
*snerk* They definitely need to do that. She dealt with the Goa'uld in "New Order," surely she could do the same with Bilbo Baggins and his band of Techno-Hobbits (tm someone at Gateworld).
