I don't usually rec fics, but dude...go to Heliopolis and read "Search for a Cure [for "Danielitis"]." SNORT. Funniest damn thing I've read in a while. I haven't read a lot of Daniel/Janet fic (yet), but so far, there seems to be a better goodfic/badfic ratio than for Sam/Jack. We'll see how long that lasts.

Mini-ramblings for ST Nemesis, which I waited to watch on DVD, and am glad I didn't spend between $5.25 and $7.25 on it in the theatre.

* R/T marriage canon-ness! WOOOOOOOOO!!! Best part of the whole movie was the wedding. (And the "Mr. Troi" line.) Okay, that was pretty much the only reason I rented it. Not disappointing.
* OMG, I want one of those away mission Hummer-thingies! DUDE! You can even shoot at traffic in the rear!
* Yo, relatives for Data mean bad news. Does anyone remember Lore? 4th season episode "Datalore"? Evil Data-brother? Yeah, him. Let's give a little thought to what these things usually mean.
* And Beverly again has a total of twelve lines in the movie. And the dopiest ones, too--"Data, you have prettier eyes"? *beats head against wall* Good freaking lord. If I were Gates McFadden, I'd sue.
* Speaking of Beverly, she sounds a heck of a lot like Janet on SG-1. Must be a female-doctor-in-a-supporting-role thing.
* But awww, P/C mush in the ready room. I'm becoming a BonCer in my old age.
* Hey! Deanna actually gets to do something useful! Hot damn!
* Okay, do we remember how Deanna drives the ship into something every time she pilots? Isn't it time to take the keys away?
* They killed DATA?! Whoa, it really is the last movie. Even so, Trek killing off a main character and actually making changes to the lives of the others...damn. :`( Poor Data. He always was one of my favourite characters. And now there would need to be two resurrections to have Data/Yar. Alas.


In other news, I'm in love with a band named Fisher. Awesome, awesome, awesome. And they've even got six free songs on mp3.com! Wheee! And those six songs include "Oblivious"! I'm utterly in love with this song, and with SuzVoy's Sam/Jack vid to it, too. How frelling many of my shipper couples does this one work for... *shakes head*
