Got volume three of the SG season 2 box set from the library today. The watergun bit at the end of "Bane," where Teal'c shoots Daniel? Priceless. My parents came in and asked what was making me laugh so hard. Hee. Flummoxed!Daniel is always a hoot.

Got my plane ticket for ScaperCon! I'll be there from the afternoon of Friday, August 1, to the morning of Monday, August 4 (roomies reading this: I'm actually leaving about five hours earlier than I told you in the e-mail 'cause Mom wanted me to change the flight, soooo...). So this year I'll actually get to see Scapespeare, dammit, after missing it for the past two years! Wheee!!!
Oh, and SG-1 fans going to ScaperCon? "Space Race" is the episode that'll be playing at con. *bounces* This is gonna be so much fun...

rensong, I don't really like driving (hence why I haven't done it in so long...well, that and not having a car at school), but I made a conscious decision not to let it freak me out so much, and it seems to have worked. It's a much more pleasant experience than it was, and I feel like I'm better at it. Once I quit agonzing about, say, making a left turn onto a busy highway without a light and just did it, it all went much better and I was much calmer. (Parents apparently deciding of their own volition not to say anything helped a lot, too.)

I'd be a lemming and post a picture of my desktop, but my image capture program went the way of the dinosaur when I migrated to OS X, and I can't say as I feel like booting up into system 9 just for an image. Probably there's something free out there, but...eh... *shrugs apathetically* All I have is my HD icon and a random folder laying about on the desktop, whose wallpaper is the "Bound to You" Sam/Jack collage I made a while ago. The pretty, pretty dock usually stays hidden on the left side of things. And I have random Norton's and Airport icons in the toolbar up top, but other than that it looks pretty much like any other OS X Mac out there.
Speaking of lemmingness, I made up a Friday Five for grammar whores. Expect it to be posted on Thursday night, when I can claim that it's Friday in Australia and am therefore right on time. ;)
