SG-1 ficcy-type thing

Because babylil, the self-proclaimed "obsessive guzzler of all things 'Entity'," asked me to write the fic I was threatening last night... ;) This is written in the span of maybe fifteen minutes, and hasn't been betaed. It's also all of 500 words. Be forewarned.

Annoyance and amusement

AAAAARRRRGGGHHHHH!!!

*glares at physics fic* I may just delete everything I have and start from scratch...

In other news, this video is abso-frelling-lutely hilarious. It's many, many clips of skaters falling set to the Goo Goo Dolls' "Slide." Morbid and cruel, yes, but I was laughing my ass off. (Note: it doesn't stream, so right-click and download.)

I think it's Tonya Harding in the middle who falls in the middle of a scratch spin; she has the best expression on her face; it's like, "aw, dammit..." *snicker* Midori Ito's fall completely out of the rink is probably the most spectacular. And the bit about 3/4 of the way in where Elena Berezhnaya and Anton Sikharulidze (no, I didn't have to look those up--sad, I know) try a quad throw toe loop four times and then Elena just gives up and lies down on the ice is hysterical.

There are more vids here, including another vid of falls. More visual evidence of why I will never take up pairs skating. Eeeeek!

ETA: The Anissina/Peizerat compilation video there is soooo good. It's got such good timing that you almost forget that Man in the Iron Mask wasn't the music of all the programs that are stitched together, and that it wasn't playing int he background of all the podium shots. Well, except for those programs where the costumes are blatantly not MITM-ish...the hideous pink and silver combination from the 2000 Latin OD, for example...)
