(no subject)

Because I have no network connection in my room with which to waste hours out of the day, I'm so far ahead in my reading for various classes that it's not even funny. I just finished The Time Machine, which isn't due until Tuesday. I did all the other reading for all of my T/Th classes yesterday. I don't know what to do with myself without constant, easy access to the net! Eeeeee!!!

Had my one class today, History of the South. Seems interesting enough. It was only a 50 minute class so I haven't had time to form much of an opinion.

The astronomy prof is opening up the telescope tonight to view Mars, so hopefully the clouds that have been looming all afternoon will be gone by 10 or so.

We members of the ballroom wellness mafia (Allyson, Peter, Brian, Ginger, Marta, Valerie and I) made plans over breakfast to hunt down anyone who hasn't installed Norton's and beat them over the head until they do. In a purely friendly capacity, of course. Heh. Two of the freshmen dorms are getting their access restored today. GRRRRRRR.

And now I guess I'll stop babbling/whining and head on back to my room. Maybe I'll decorate some more. Too bad I can't transfer soem of this time to later in the semester, when I'll have fifty papers due all at once and will need it.

We be legit.

So the Pez Club is goin' all official-like. We're going to have a booth at the activities fair tomorrow. It's doubtful that anyone will show up for "a special interest group for women interested in creative writing, literature, music, outdoor adventure, and action photography," but we'll see. Maybe some sort of interesting freshman will find us. I'm still shocked that the school is making us official and giving us money at some point in the future. Heh.

Also helping out at the ballroom booth tomorrow, given that I'm technically an officer and all. Yay for swing dancing in the open air! Or cha-cha, or tango, or whatever. Probably the Latin dances as the stay in one place. We're having our first meeting of the year Sunday, so yay for getting back into ballroom, even if not so much as last year.

Uuuuugh. Am tired. Too much walking and then too much Ben & Jerry's....
