Sep. 18th, 2003 05:32 pmHeh. I think I amused most people in my poetry class with this week's poem, which, I might add, is completely autobiographical.

Paid out more money to the bookstore today. We have to read "The Dead" from Joyce's Dubliners for Tuesday in Irish Lit., and it was actually cheaper to buy the Dover Thrift edition of the entire book ($1.50) rather than spend $3.00 and copy all thirty pages of the library's copy. Ay-yi-yi.

Norgol amuses me greatly. Got this in my e-mail this morning from "him":

I think I've found my own version of these Strongbad e-mails people are always talking about. Hehehe. It's really cool to have a published sci-fi author teaching a bio class--it's definitely Bio for English majors. We get to talk about characters and plot elements and stuff, and very occassionally, she'll talk about writing SF books, which is so cool.

I get to ride a bike! Ellen's bike! Wheee! If I can remember how to ride one (I was, like, ten the last time I was on a bicycle) I get to use it sometimes!

And finally, have finished the history paper that's due tomorrow. (Did most of it Monday, did the rest yesterday, revised a bit this afternoon.) I have a feeling this one's gonna be the one where the grade gets dropped (do all four of the essays and the lowest grade is dropped), but that's okay. It's done now.
