Mmmm, ethernet
Oct. 5th, 2003 03:31 pmHooray for Ethernet jacks in Gund. No, my room still isn't connected to the network, and there still seems to be no rhyme or reason as to who gets connected and who doesn't. However, as my laptop is portable, off we went to Gund, since I know I don't have a virus on my Mac and I haven't been trying to get past the firewall or anything.
So for the moment, I get to use my e-mail program! And my bookmarks! And the iJournal program to write this! And the chair is a damn sight more comfortable than that torture device they call a chair in my room. The only problem is that I have to use the iBook keyboard, which is less than pleasant. Meh.
So according to Mom, my HS creative writing teacher is speaking or doing something at the book festival. Which, since I now have rides to/from the airport and plane tickets, I'm going to! Wheee! Of course, since I just bought the tickets, they're twice as much as they would've been. :( Am paying for at least half from my bank account, 'cause now that I'm all hyped up about going home, I really wanna go through with it. Yes, money go bye-bye. But being one of the, say, two hundred people left on campus over October break last year seriously sucked, so while I care, I don't care as much as I might. We'll just have to see how much my parents care... Eeeep.
