Nine more days of classes. I'd like to be happy, but unfortunately, that means that I only have sixteen more days to do the final paper for Irish. Eeek.

*points to "current music" field* I wanna watch Northern Exposure now. Wish I had my tapes here... Oh, and Jon Stout has Twin Peaks DVDs. I may have to borrow them once Russell's done. Mmmm...the weirdness that is David Lynch, which equals creepy NX on crack. Woo-hoo.

In honor of Christmas, I changed my desktop picture to my holiday-ish one. Lookie.

And after this brief interlude, it's back to my history paper. I'm halfway done...

Trawling alt.tv.northern-exp at Google, and ran into a detailed summary of ep 1.3, "Soapy Sanderson." Totally didn't notice this when I first watched it in junior or senior year of high school (and you'd think I would've, given that I knew pretty much where I was applying to school by then), but that episode has "film students" from "Kenyon College" who come in at the end of the ep. Oh, and the title character was also a professor in the "theology and mythology" department at Kenyon. Okay, so there are mistakes (film department? Kenyon? And nobody has a "theology and mythology" department, AFAIK), but still. Obviously, one of the writers had some connection to my school, 'cause it's not exactly one you'd just hear about in daily life. Having only 1600 students and being in the middle of nowhere, Ohio, tends to do that. ;)

Hmmm. Interesting. To me, anyway. Not to anyone else. But hey....

And I still contend that Kenyon is Cicely transposed into academia. ;)
