The tide flows in, the tide flows out...
Feb. 1st, 2004 07:26 pmI found a fabulous electronic/instrumental version of "Just As the Tide Was A-Flowing" here (you can download either a streaming mp3 or a RealAudio file). It starts out completely unrecognizable, but the flute comes in and it becomes the actual song, which is one of my favorites. (Yeah, I'm a weirdo who likes songs credited as "traditional." This one and Shenandoah, baby. AMong many, many others.)
The setting piece lacks an ending and some editing, but it's getting there. Sort of. There's a lot of extraneous verbiage that ought to be cut, and it just keeps going on and on and on with no ending in sight, but at least I've connected all the parts. This makes me happy.
And happy birthday,
rensong!
