Apr. 6th, 2004 11:44 pmWhoa. Going down stairs when I forget I'm not wearing my glasses is actually a fairly terrifying endeavor. (And before you ask how I forgot, my room was dark 'cause roomie is sleeping, so I didn't see that the world was blurry until I entered the lighted sanctuary of the hallway...)
In other news, we reviewed the cross-step waltz (a social dance) tonight at ballroom. The Alexander Technique chick taught it at the workshop on Saturday, the one I didn't go to 'cause I got on a roll on my evil Russian Lit. paper. (Said roll took me to about the middle of page 2, so I probably should've gone...ah, well.) The closest I can come to describing it is Viennese Waltz on crack. And Viennese is like bumper cars and eggbeaters set to the beat of, say, The Blue Danube or Masquerade Waltz, so you can imagine what this was like. Revolving dances are just evil.
And finally, I started a new story yesterday! I have three pages! Yay! Only problem is that I have no idea what to do with them. But heeeeey...I'll have at least two weeks to figure it out, if not longer. But my main character, whose name is Sam, is sort of like the lovechild of Sam Carter and Jaye Tyler. I didn't mean to make her like that, but that's how she's goin', sooooo...
Oh, and though I'm late to the party (I did find out very soon after SciFiWire broke the news, though, I promise!), wheeeeeeeee Farscape miniseries getting a distributor, even if it is Skiffy!
