Happy two-days-belated birthday to [livejournal.com profile] cybermathwitch! (Sorry I forgot. My Faust paper ate me. ;))
icepixie: (mahandra)
- I bought the biggest Slim Jim the market has. The thing's over a foot long of chewy beef goodness. Mmmm. I can feel my arteries hardening already. But at least it's not sugary, which has been the composition of my snack foods for several weeks now. (Lots of work = lots of sugar.)

- I think my Faust essay needs blood transfusions. It's hanging by a very thin thread at this point, eight pages into it (it's supposed to be about ten). Will have to bang it into shape on Sunday, I suppose, after I finish it tonight. I really hope Klebes will let me break it into sections, 'cause some of these transitions are just not possible with the current capabilities of the English language.

- Tomorrow's the last day of classes. Not as exciting as it could be, since everything is due during exam week. But at least now I get more time during the day to work on said things that are due, so yay.

- Banging your fist on the formica desk after Word crashes for no reason for the fifty-seven zillionth time, losing five quotes you'd just typed in, makes the pinkie finger of said fist hurt rather a lot. (And I would totally go back to AppleWorks, except that whenever you try to click back intot he program after leaving it, scroll, or type, it has to think about it and spin the multi-colored beach ball before it'll let you do anything, which is sucky. Anyone know of a simple, stable word processor for the Mac that isn't Word or AppleWorks? I'm getting seriously frustrated.)

- My allergies have either mutated into something truly nasty or I caught a scaled-down version of roomie's cold. I'm thinking it's the latter. It's been like a normal cold, except sped up by about four or five days.

- A week from today, I will be hooooooome. *bounce* We're aiming to leave at 9, so with stopping for lunch and possibly dinner, we should be home by 6 or 6:30, depending on if we run into the traffic jam that always backs traffic up to the Kentucky state line that we tend to get stuck in when coming back into Nashville via I-65.

ETA: One of these days--how soon depends on how much procrastination I feel like doing--I will respond to comments. Promise.
