I feel like there's a good poem under the thing I'm writing now, but I need to whittle it down from two pages to...something less wordy, but more concentrated. Or at least play with the line lengths so they aren't so ragged. Oh, and finishing it would be good, too.

*points to music field* Heard this guy on an internet radio station. Grabbed a bunch of the nice 2-minute samples from cdbaby.com. Possibly need to get a CD. His stuff sounds a lot like Nickel Creek, only less twangy. Some lyrics are self-consciously Southern, but most are more restrained, with a sense of place that isn't so superficial, and does resonate on some level with me (dude, it's the mention of sweet tea).
