Okay, the windstorm outside? Getting old. There's some weird thing at the top of the window that sort of funnels in air and sound from outside when it's windy, so it sounds like a wind tunnel in my room. Seriously, at times it gets as loud as if someone were revving a motorcycle outside my window. Wind is fun, but this could quickly drive me crazy.

Chandra sent me the most fabulous "Phantom of the Opera Movie in 15 Minutes" parody. Dude, where did you get that from? So funny. Except I had to restrain my giggles, 'cause my abs apparently went through some serious strain when I tried to bushwhack a shortcut to the health center yesterday (er, Tuesday) and fell up a muddy hillside that looked considerably less hilly when I started up it.

Um...I have a thesis for my paper! That totally reads like two of the articles I read for research...maybe I should work on that...or at least use different examples... *headdesk*

...is everyone sick this week? Are we passing the shipper plague/New Zealand Hobbit Death Flu around again? (Although I had the NZHDF last year. Never want that again. At least my current illness gets drugs.)

This almost makes me want to have kids, only so I can tell them about vast chocolate mines in Africa.

(Note that I said almost. Still no sign of maternal instincts here, folks.)

Also, THIS WIND IS DRIVING ME CRAZY. I even figured out how to shut the little vent thing at the top of my window, but it hasn't helped much. Now it just sounds like a vaccuum cleaner constantly running right outside my window. According to weather.com, it's constant at 30 mph now, and I guess gusts are about 40/50 mph. I can't even open the window without it getting blow shut. I have no idea why this is making it impossible for me to conentrate, but it is. AUGH.
