...Should I feel dumb that I only just now realized that iTunes has a free single each week in their Latin section, as well as on the front page?

Er, yes. You can see how much time I spend in that section, then.

This week's is pretty good. It's a Mambo, but kind of a slow one. I can't understand much of it, but then again, I'm pretty hopeless with English song lyrics. I suppose I could look them up and puzzle them out (I can still read a decent amount of Spanish, even five and a half years after AP, but my spoken Spanish is long gone), but...nah, too much effort.

I'm really enjoying these $3.99 various artists sampler albums that Nettwerk Records and iTunes keep having for sale. I just bought Indoor Picnic Music, Vol. 2, and it's fabby. Only two songs that I can't get into, and and the other fifteen(!) range from pretty good to very nice indeed. Most of the people on here are pretty unknown (at least to me; I'd heard of roughly half of them before), but there's a Bare Naked Ladies track on there as well. I particularly like the Leigh Nash, Matt Wertz, and Adrienne Pierce tracks. Definitely worth it if you like quiet, thoughtful folkish rock-type stuff.

I hope they keep this up. I'm a big fan of getting new music I like for cheap. :D
