Aug. 19th, 2008 09:19 pmI finally got a chance to talk to the professor who's also a Kenyon grad, and we had a short chat about profs (including Heidt, who I think was probably a classmate of this person's), Exeter (did everyone who went on that program eventually move on to grad school?), and how neither of us had a clue what to do with rhetoric and composition when we got to grad school and suddenly had to learn buckets about them. It was good times.
I had another short chat with another professor, who said that she was still terrified of teaching by the end of her MA program. This is...both encouraging and horrifying. I was rather hoping to be sure about the public speaking thing by the end of my degree, because that's going to have some influence over whether I go on for the PhD or not. Hmm.
Classes start tomorrow. Limbo ends, yay!
