A trend

Heh. I'm highly amused that out of everyone on my flist who's posted something exclamatory about gifts received, almost all of the posts, including mine, have been about kitchen appliances or bakeware. I guess you can tell that much of my flist is only a couple years out of college. :D

Northern Exposure music

For wintercreek and anyone else who wants it: mp3 of Maggie's Theme from NX 4.01, "Northwest Passages." It has more dialogue (well, technically monologue) in it than I remember, but you can hear the score clearly underneath.

I accidentally recorded three seconds of the previous scene at the beginning. I adjusted the start time in iTunes so it starts in the right place, but I don't know if it'll translate into other programs.

Bones spoilers

I discovered the joy that is bones_spoilers yesterday, and am eating up all that they have. (I tend more towards Spoiler Virgin status for most of my shows, but let's face it, this show has never had good quality writing that would be lessened by knowing plot points in advance.)

NX fic and sound files

I bring Northern Exposure-related gifts! First are the following sound files recorded from my S4 DVDs:

Joel's prayer and ending music from "Kaddish for Uncle Manny"
The lilting musical theme from "Mud and Blood": 1, 2, 3 (the first two contain Chris's readings from Charlotte's Web; the last is Maggie scratching Joel's back)

The second is a fic! This show is incredibly intimidating to write for, as it is my personal holy grail of storytelling awesomeness. But here's a ficlet that will hopefully not fall too terribly short of the bar set by the show itself.
