I have "The Way You Look Tonight" stuck in my head. As songs to have stuck in your head go, it's not a bad one. However, on the "just the way you look tonight" phrase, it's started modulating over to "I have been changed for good" from Wicked's "For Good," and that's just odd.

In other news, I'm about to look like a hobo for a week, 'cause I just had to duct tape over a hole in the sole of my boot. Since winter doesn't seem to be letting up any time soon, looks like I'll have to either buy new boots or get these fixed over spring break next week. (Ha. "Spring." I'm starting to believe spring is a myth, and my memories of previous springs are just delusions perpetuated by my warmth- and sunlight-starved brain.)

Arrrggghhhh. I hate it when journals use endnotes, and then don't have a bibliography following them. I realize it would be redundant in that particular citation style to have all the bibliographic info in the note and then in a separate list, but when someone has 100+ endnotes, it makes it frickin' hard to see what sources they used. BAAAAHHH.

Also, for some reason the MLA database is "temporarily unavailable," with no date given for when it will be available again, which is NOT COOL AT ALL, HOLY CRAP.

Yes, I have scads of Hayden White I need to be reading tonight, but I wanted to look at what was available on modernism and social dancing! (My 1930s movie musicals and the depression topic got shot down by the prof,* so I'm switching. Not sure to what at the moment, but social/ballroom dancing is high on the list, as is tap dance's relationship to increasing mechanization, or something to do with time and Woolf's Orlando and/or Mrs. Dalloway. Another thought is that Mrs. Dalloway and Ulysses both take place in one day, but I have a feeling that whatever I could say about that, someone's already said.)

* Well, she did say that if I could figure out a way to tie it to British modernist fiction about London I could do it. Suggestions, Modernists?
