Several of you have asked, and finally I am in a position to provide video of my skating. Below is a five-minute compilation of the most interesting bits of my practice this morning.

Some things to note before watching:

1. Apparently my knee bend decided to take a vacation without me. I swear, usually I bend my knees more than this. ~~When my coach reminds me to, anyway.~~

2. I'm not sure practice clothes are flattering on anyone, but mine are definitely of the "what do I have lying around the house that's warm?" and "what can I buy for this but repurpose for other things to save money?" variety, so...yeah. I'm not there to look pretty, I'm there to work.

2a. My recent haircut has been trying, to say the least. Please ignore the fact that I look like I've been dragged through a hedge backwards.

3. My mother, who filmed this, says that it looks like I'm going slower than I was because she was tracking me with the camera. I'm going to take her word for it, because I certainly felt like I was flying.
