Thanksgiving'd!
Nov. 26th, 2004 09:06 amSo...Thanksgiving. Nice, in a subdued sort of way. I was a big fan of the stuffing, though not of the sweet potatoes (although they were better than I was expecting). The Bridge Inn was pretty cool...built in 1500 or something like that, and it looked it. Felt it, too, in that it was rather chilly from the lack of central heating. We had professors there, none of which I knew, and there was definitely a kids table (well, area; we ate on our laps in chairs in sort of a sitting room) and an adult table.
The whole place smelled like a brewery from everyone having their one free drink (well, "free" as in "on the Kenyon/Exeter program's money along with dinner itself"), which was irritating, as that yeasty-yet-fermented smell just drives me up a wall.
pezprez talked up her Irish cream (diluted heavily with milk) so much that I had about half a sip, which I promptly spit out into a napkin and chased with half a glass of water. See, this is why I will never be in danger of becoming an alcoholic. I can't even get the sweet stuff down my throat. (Not that this is a bad thing.)
Um...yeah. Not much more to it than that. For what it was, it was excellent, but I don't know that anyone would say it was better than being home.

Also, London for the weekend again. See y'all later.
