And in other news...
Dec. 10th, 2004 01:50 pmOkay, not so much left to pack. All I need is toothbrush & etc.
Anyway, I learned iiiiinteresting things from talking with Matz and Bowman at our little farewell tea-thingy yesterday. I think it was this year that the English department implemented their "fewer 101/102 classes; more senior seminars" decision. If it wasn't, then it's definitely next year, which means more fun senior seminars for meeeee! Well, if I don't get into an advanced creative writing class(es), anyway. Or maybe along with one...that would be fun...kill myself with classes senior year! Riiight.
Also, and this is veeeery good news, according to Bowman, there was a faculty meeting yesterday about (potentially?) instituting a history minor. I wasn't clear on whether that was actually going to happen, and if it does, I have no idea if it'll go into effect next year--but if it does, and if I don't have to have too many more classes to do it, I'm all over that minor. Woo! If not, well, I'm taking Browning's Irish History class next year anyway...
Okay, there have been waaaay too many words in here with extended vowels. I think the fact that I went to bed at three and got woken up by a fire drill at nine may have something to with that. Perhaps the cup of tea I had this morning does as well. Oooo, vooooowels... (Right. This is why I don't drink, people.)
