So true... :) I was there for three weeks and I was always walking up or down...
The area by the university seemed especially hilly. Augh.
Could they be reffing the ruins out the back of the palace? I vaguely remember those, but not a specific name.
Hmmm...that might've been it. We never did make it to the palace.
Oooh, I love that area. It's way pretty, and I love the ruins. I have some pics I should post, since I was there in summer. My "dorm" was right on the other side of Arthur's Seat, and a friend of mine managed to talk me into climbing it one evening. Oy.
It looked painful. Everyone else climbed the whole thing, but that was the day I was in St. Andrews. After climbing another mountain with them in Arizona, I made sure I orchestrated the schedule that way. ;)
Greyfriar's Bobby, maybe? Little black shaggy doggy?
No, this is just a typical Scottish Terrier. I saw a lot of cute Greyfriars Bobby stuff, but resisted the call to buy it. ;)
Oooh, I'm jealous. Actually, I'm jealous of a lot of the stuff that you got to see. You were lucky to have time to linger - I always had class until 3ish and stuff closed at 4, 5 at the latest. I did the castle in like, 45 minutes iirc. *pout* I'd love to go back and see everything I missed. Perils of going as a student rather than as a tourist, I guess...
Oh, ick. Still, I kind of wish I were studying in Edinburgh; I like it a lot better than Exeter. And beignt here for a year, surely I'd be able to see everything... ;) But yeah, I'm also glad I got to do the touristy thing for several days. It was nice.
