Bath photos

Dad reminded me that I never put up my Bath pictures. Whoops!
Lots of pictures of buildings in this batch, both because of my recently-found love for Georgian architecture and because the sun was out the day we were there, hitting the yellowy limestone just right and making it absolutely beautiful. I think if I were to ever live in the UK for an extended period of time, I might want to live here, just because the city is so beautiful.
Steam train in Bristol!
Cool roof of the Bristol Temple Meads train station.
What's that odd stream of smoke over there?
Why, it's a steam engine!
It really is! How cool!
Bath
The Great Bath from the Victorian terrace.
The be-pigeoned roof.
Random cathedral, or possibly abbey.
Great Bath from bath-level (a foot and a half below street level, IIRC).
Great Bath.
More Great Bath.
Roman drain, with neat water effect due to turning the flash off.
The waterfall of the drain.
Mysterious stairway down to the bath.
Crowded street in Bath.
Buildings and a blue sky.
A Georgian crescent with an old tree in the middle.
Same crescent with Pezzers and Bowman.
Bath does look more French or German or something than, say, Exeter.
The Royal Crescent. I think this is the one with the museum in it, and possibly the one Jane Austen visited a lot.
Royal Crescent detail.
Church spire!
Roman influences.
Gorgeous riverfront park in the center of town.
Bridge over the river/canal. The windows are those of the shops all along the bridge.
Side of a neat old house.
The hills surrounding Bath, with part of the park.
Closeup of the neat stepped waterfall thing in the middle of the canal.
Chandra looking pensive.
Looking down the canal.
Distant houses on distant hills.
Another pretty Georgian building.
Same building front-on.
Same church spire from earlier, I think, just closer.
Also, Merry Christmas! Happy Day of a Whole Lot of Chocolate! ;)
