Layout and stuff
Jan. 4th, 2005 06:01 pmHooray for pretty new layouts! I contemplated a train one, but the tango won out. Not that I've been to ballroom in months...sigh...

1. I don't like broccoli.
False like a big false thing. Broccoli is tied with frozen peas for my favorite green vegetable.
2. Most of my wardrobe contains the color purple.
Very much true. I have a slight obsession with the color purple.
3. The first fanfic I ever wrote was for Star Trek: Voyager.
And a bad one it was, too.
4. I broke one of my front teeth out by landing wrong on a concrete floor when I was four.
This is very painfully true, unfortunately.
5. I played basketball for a year in middle school.
Bwah! Nooooo. Definitely not true. I was even less athletic then than I am now, and believe me, that's an achievement.
6. The only ballroom dance I've placed in since I moved up from newcomer to bronze is "nightclub two-step."
This is actually true. A guy from the University of Illinois came around asking for a partner for this dance that no one had ever heard of, and I said I'd fake it with him. He taught me three steps about five minutes before we took the floor for the first round, and we took seventh out of a field of twenty couples.
7. The main retail outlet in the town where I go to school is the college bookstore.
True. But I think most of you already knew this.
8. I had braces for over two years.
Not true, actually. I had them on both sets of teeth for one year, then my retainer got screwed up and I had to have another six months on the bottom teeth. Still less than two years, though.
9. The most recent CD I bought was Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet.
True.
10. The first time I saw the ocean was when I was nineteen.
True. We went to Gulf Shores, AL, two summers ago, and it was the first time I'd seen an ocean in RL.
11. Most of my ancestry is western European, but there's some Iroqouis in there as well.
From my great-great-great grandfather on my mother's side, actually.
12. I have pierced ears.
I refuse to put holes in my body on purpose, so this one would be false.
13. I used to be able to sit on my hair.
During second grade, this was true.
14. I took tae kwon do and was in 4-H (unwillingly) in fourth grade.
Both are true. The school forced me into both of them. Tae kwon do was okay, except that I nearly broke my hand trying to break a board. but 4-H was simply ghastly.
15. I wear a lot of rings.
Um, I think I own one ring...which I haven't worn in years...so this would be false.

And last but not least, happy birthday,
sesaworuban!
ETA: Look, my school is pretty! (The song is pretty too. Well, prettily-sung, anyway. *applauds
sleepingcbw* Still not my favorite of the four, I have to say. But dude, that picture of the campus covered in snow from the air is awesome. And Ascension covered in ivy...whoa.
