*whimpers* Jealous! Jealous!

I thought people might be. ;) I hope it's not just a bunch of antique collectors' stuff and there are some paperbacks being offered for cheap. Buying hardback books over here would probably make both my suitcase and my bank account explode.

You've done the Highlands, haven't you? Or did you not get much farther north than Edinburgh?

I've only been to Edinburgh, St. Andrews, and Glasgow, so I have the whole upper half of the country waiting. We're planning to take a week after classes are over in June (when hopefully it at least won't be snowing) and go up then, specifically to the area around Loch Ness and possibly to the Hebrides.

The only other biggies I can think of are Warwick Castle and Salisbury Cathedral. Warwick was definitely the coolest castle I visited, and there was something about Salisbury that blew me away just standing outside of it, even with all the scaffolding.

Would you recommend Warwick as a "go here at all costs" kind of thing, or more a "go if you have time" sort of attraction? We've already seen quite a few castles, and will probably see quite a few more. And I was thinking of Salisbury, but we're definitely going to Canterbury in the spring. Should we do both? Are there other interesting things to do within walking distance of the cathedral in Salisbury? (I could just look this up in the book, I suppose, but it's more fun to get it from someone who's been there. :))
