I think he moved from Scotland to, you guessed it, Canada at a fairly young age, like eight or ten. I've heard grumblings from Scots that his accent isn't accurate, although I personally couldn't tell any difference between Beckett's accent and many guys in Glasgow when I was there.

Heh. Theoretically.

Since I started watching last year, I naturally don't expect most of the stuff done on SG-1 to be good. But it'll probably be entertaining no matter what, especially with Ben and Claudia, and I'm fine with that. :)

Really, most things would be more entertaining than season eight, which I didn't even bother watching for the second half...
