I was surprised at how strong the Darjeeling was. Ceylon is definitely weaker, IMO. I can even tell that it's just a miniscule bit weaker than English Breakfast. Usually, I let a bag of those steep for 20 minutes, whereas the Darjeeling was kind of icky after just 10.
I like Irish Breakfast probably more than English, but I like a strong cup of tea.
I'm all about strong (see the steeping times above *g*), but the two times I had Irish Breakfast, I couldn't get over how bitter it was. I usually add a ton of sugar and a little milk, but they did nothing for those cups.
I think I tried Earl Grey once, but it was before I discovered the virtues of milk in tea, so that may be why I hated it so then. PG Tips is nice...it tastes exactly like English Breakfast and/or Tesco tea to me.
