Not really. Mal/Inara does nothing for me due to lack of chemistry between the actors (also, I don't really like the way Inara gets somewhat simpery at times about Mal, i.e. in "Heart of Gold" when she breaks down after Mal sleeps with that other woman...although I really liked that they didn't have her confront him with some maudlin declaration of feelings, but rather with the news that she was leaving). Same with Simon/Kaylee, although I like them more than M/I. Given more time, I could probably get behind them.
Zoe and Wash are cute...I forgot about them. I'm not terrifically excited whenever they interact, but I enjoy their relationship, sure. No inclination to write fic about it, though, which is my main meter for judging my appreciation for a ship.
$2 movie night may be on opening night, actually--I think it's usually the weekend after, but I don't really remember. It's less a question of cost than of transportation--it's easier to get to Mt. Vernon on those nights because transportation is provided. I know there's a group going at some point, and they may have a car somewhere amongst them we can use on Sept. 30th. I'll have to see.
