Hey, we all have our tastes...I'm not quite getting Shep/Weir yet, so we're probably even. *Snerk* (Shep/McKay starts to make sense, though...)
And honestly I'm not sure how the movie will affect your view of them...the Mal/Inara shippy is there, but not as in the forefront as an ep like Shindig.
And yeah, Joss was talking 1930s...but I totally share the crack! C'mon...Mal's a dashing rogue, Inara's a beautiful socialite. They trade witty barbs, pretending to be disdainful of one another yet secretly (and glaringly obviously to everyone who's not them) are madly in love with each other. Each drags the other into worlds they never expected to visit...and when they team up, no one can outplay or outwit them.

Sounds like a 1930s romantic comedy to me!
