Whedon's dialogue is awesome. I don't like his storytelling so much, but I love the one-liners he manages to put in everywhere, and the speech patterns of all the characters. So like the way I and most people I know talk, excpet funnier. *g*

I think that moves on from "anvilicious" to "I walk out of the theatre" territory, actually. ;) I dunno...the exchange, while technically falling under the "guidelines of "subtle," just seemed forced to me, and kind of "oh, look, they have CHEMISTRY! Don't you see it? They're gonna bicker into the sunset together!" And ordinarily I would be all over that (hello, Maggie/Joel (Northern Exposure) and Maddie/David shipper from way back), but this one just does not fly for me.
Yeah, I'm weird. I'll go stand in my mutant outgrowth corner now. ;)
