"Long day" does not begin to cover it.

So. My prints were supposed to arrive today, so that I could enter them in the BFEC's photo contest. Of course, why would anything sent priority mail on Monday get ANYWHERE by Wednesday? *headdesk* Then they couldn't print two of the three at the print shop, for some unknown reason. So, terrible inkjet copies it was, which I hustled down the hill just in time.

However, the guy at the BFEC who's running this is wonderful and is letting me replace the inkjet copies with the prints that freaking well better arrive tomorrow, so long as I do it by 8 PM. I love Jason.

In other GRRRRR! news--@#$%&ing ladybugs. They all CAME OUT OF HIDING TODAY. I DON'T KNOW WHY. They haven't invaded my room yet (although I'm afraid to look inside the upwards-facing conical heads of my lamp for fear of finding a million little bug bodies), but they're definitely swarming outside. And those suckers bite. HARD.

Also, the skin on my legs decided, "It's getting cold! Slough, SLOUGH!" which has created an itchy mess for me.

Finally, work. Grrr. Lots and lots and lots of work, and not very much time to do it. The first draft of my British Empire paper is due in two weeks. I have...a paragraph. A flowery and silly paragraph, the first bit of which goes, "Ceylon. Darjeeling. Assam. These famous tea-producing districts, all located on or near the Indian subcontinent, are redolent of high tea and quintessential Britishness."

*headdesk* Not as bad as "the ding-dong of doom for the Nazis" from my Modern France paper sophomore year, but...oy. Why are my rough drafts of history papers always so corny?

Good thing about today, though: I got to satisfy my OCD impulses with some organizing of papers for future filing for the Review. I made pretty piles of paper on the table in the workroom, fanned out nicely in ascending order of account number. Yes, I am the ONE PERSON ON EARTH who enjoys filing. I know. Whatever.

Firstly, lady bugs bite???? WTF?!?!! America is WEIRD! Spiders that bite! Lady bugs bite! What the hell!!!

Secondly, I'm ashamed to admit I like filing too. There's a satisfaction in alphabetical/numerical order. :)
