Yes, although they didn't get married until after she left the show.

Romana/Doctor will pretty much always be the OTP for me in the show. Romana was at least the Doctor's equal, in intelligence if not in the "learned things the hard way school of hard knocks" sort of wisdom that the Doctor seems to have on occasion. She's also of his race, which I think makes her uniquely suited to him. There is also the fact that, despite their obvious differences, they are actually very alike in many ways.

Oh well, you can't tell all these new "Rose is leaving my life is over and I'll never watch the show again" types anything. It's worse than when MS left Stargate.
