I still have faith RTD will come up with something good for Rose's departure. And I'd rule out 2 for pretty much the same reason as 1...too traumatic for the kids. I don't see 3 because that sets up a sort of false hope to pay off, and would change the feel of the show too much--it really shouldn't be that much about Rose, and I don't think it will be, because RTD *get* old skool Who even as he redefines it. 4...hmm. I don't think she'd just leave the Doc for Jackie unless something bad happened to Jackie (Shaye just wrote a great ficlet about that, actually), but I suppose the Alt-Uni idea is a possibility I hadn't thought of. That *could* work, actually, if Rose went off to basically be the Doctor where he couldn't go. 5 I've thought about, but agree that they'd need to have Billie show up on Torchwood. Unless they've kept her casting on that show a surprise so people don't realize she's leaving Who, maybe? And yeah, Sarah would kick butt there. *g* But yeah, you know my theory...

And 4th Doc and Romana were *totally* on a date. I think you need to track down the Prime Computer commercials they did together now. Trust me.... *vbg* (I've got them on a video called '30 Years in the TARDIS' myself.)
