1. Elaborate on your default icon.
It's (cropped from) a picture I took in Bancroft Gardens in Stratford-on-Avon in May 2005. The sky was so pretty, and the ridiculously ornate/Hydra-headed lamp looked great up against it. I stuck "Victorian" on it because that lamp looks like it ought to have come out of that particular era, given its fussiness. (Possibly it did? Not sure.) And hey, Victorians. Yay.
2. What's your current relationship status?
Blessedly single.
3. Ever have a near-death experience?
Nope.
4. Name an obvious quality you have.
Easily amused.
5. What's the name of the song that's stuck in your head right now?
"Just Like Heaven," by The Cure.
6. Name a celebrity you would marry:
Uh, I wouldn't.
7. Who will cut and paste this first?
I have no idea. Many of the people on my flist have done this already.
8. Has anyone ever said you look like a celebrity?
The cleaning lady in our flat at Exeter said I looked like someone from Coronation Street, but as I've never seen it, I had no idea who she was talking about. 9. Do you wear a watch? What kind?
Usually. It tends to be an analog one; for the past year, I've been wearing a purple (naturally) velcro kid's watch with hibiscus flowers all over it, and a big one in the middle of the watch face that lights up when you press the button on the side. Yes, my wrist is small enough that I can wear kids' watches.
10. Do you have anything pierced?
Eeek, no.
11. Do you have any tattoos?
Meep! No.
12. Do you like pain?
This would be the reason why the answers to the previous two were "no."
13. Do you like to shop?
For certain things, like books. Sometimes for clothes, if there's a sale and I can find things that fit.
14. What was the last thing you paid for with cash?
I remember it was something at K-Mart, but I have no idea what it was. A shirt, maybe?
15. What was the last thing you paid for with your credit card?
Hmmm...probably my new computer desk.
16. Who was the last person you spoke to on the phone?
My mother.
17. What is on your desktop background?
This.
18. What is the background on your cell phone?
Oh, like I have a cell phone new enough to have these fancy-schmany backgrounds and colors and all that...
19. Do you like redheads?
...yes? As much as I like all hair colors?
20. Do you know any twins?
My freshman year, there were actually three sets of twins in my class (which was only ~420 people). One of the fraternal boys transferred after that year, but the two sets of identical girls and the other boy all graduated with me. I knew all of them as at least nodding acquaintances (although to this day I cannot tell Karly and Kelly apart); I knew Irene a little better than just saying hi on Middle Path by the end of the four years, and Valerie, her twin, is one of my good friends. I need to e-mail the ballroom folks sometime, come to think of that...

22. What was the last movie you watched?
Um. That's a good question. I honestly can't remember. It was probably Fairy Tale.
23. What was the last book you read?
Orlando. OMG, so good. So good that I can't bring myself to get very far into anything else because I'm still processing bits of it. Although I'm making progress on Beatrix Potter's journal (she's so snarky!) and the book-that's-kind-of-like-Northern Exposure-with-the-names-changed.
