I still don't really find the old Whos scary. I think you need to see them at a more impressionable age for that kind of thing to work. ;)
I read a lovely fic, neither title or author of which I can remember, dammit, where the Doctor confronted Romana about why she'd taken Astra's form, and she said basically that it was in atonement for the princess's death; "a life for a life," as it were. Of course, Astra doesn't die at the end, but I guess Romana doesn't know that? Shaky canon or not, it's lovely. I wish I could remember who wrote it!
I'd be happy to give your fic a look as long as it's not going to spoil me for anything past "Chimes of Midnight," since that's as far as I am through the audios. Let me know.
Ooooh, fantastic. Sadly, it does reference the big emotional moment in Neverland, and there's a throwaway reference to Time of the Daleks, although it doesn't spoil the resolution of the plot.
