Apparently they were dating during the second season, and engaged for the third, or something like that. Aw.

Brassed Off is somewhere in my Netflix queue (it is a thing of might and beauty, that queue). I'd heard of Father Ted, mostly because Gandalf's characterization in "Bagenders" (Google it if you haven't read it: it's hilarious) is supposedly inspired by one of them. Fun times.
