I totally agree that it's a really creepy feature, thankfully they're doing something about it. Probably because a zillion groups popped up protesting it including an official petition that, as of last night, had 689,000 members!
Regardless I changed my privacy settings so non-friends can't see anything about me. What a pain in the ass.
