I gave up on Neil Gaiman's new book of short stories, Fragile Things.
Well...shoot.
As you've no doubt noticed, I find myself in such a dilemma regarding his stuff. The premise of American Gods was so cool, but the ending just left me cold. I thought maybe he was onto something, saying something, and then he...didn't. Stardust was cute, but left me sort of "Okay..." I bought Smoke and Mirrors because I read the first and last stories in the bookstore and really liked them, but the one I read in the middle didn't do a whole lot for me (I haven't read anything else so I can't judge). I'd kind of come to the conclusion that I get along better with his shorter stuff, so I put Fragile Things on my Christmas list. Now I fear that maybe this one will let me down, too.
The thing is, I want to like his stuff, so much. And I absolutely love his blog, which is just the coolest thing ever.
