You know, I wondered that myself, and I don't have an answer. Maybe it's like a half-step between Viscountess and Countess (who of course is the wife of an Count in France, but an Earl in Britain...those Brits like to be confusing!). Or maybe I am closer to the Platonic ideal of a viscountess than all those other ones.

Alternately, the algorithm just screwed this one up a bit. ;)
