Does a spaceship figure
.... if only. It's vaguely "historical," with the historical setting changing every season with no explanation, but the same core cast is pretty consistent. Blackadder (Rowan Atkinson) schemes a lot, but is continuously foiled by the dumb luck of the idiots surrounding him. S2 is Elizabethan (if I remember correctly), S3 is... um... whenever they had giant wigs and lots of white face powder, and S4 is WWI. It's basically a whole bunch of gags done with varying degrees of success. Pythonesque, but with more plot. Lots of clever writing, with only a few flops here and there. It's occasionally beautiful and amazing. The series finale is famous as one of the better moments in British television. And it's not a huge time commitment anyway, since each season is only six half-hour episodes and there're four seasons.
Speaking of spaceships... have you heard of Hyperdrive? The first season aired a year ago, I think, and there are rumors of a second. It's a great sci-fi space spoof. Makes fun of just about every Star Trek cliche ever, and does it pretty well. It's on that lovely comm we're in. If, you know, you're somehow running out of tv.
