BSG 3.13: Taking a Break

God DAMN it. I had hoped we'd get some resolution to the thrice-damned Love Quadrangle, but no. No, we're back at Square FRAKKING One. If we return to this soap opera at any point before the end of the season, I'm going to have to KILL someone.
AAAAARGH. I am SO sick of Lee/Dee/Kara/Sam. Right now, I could happily airlock all four of them.
The plot with Baltar was better, but we're still treading water. Quasi-literally, in Baltar's case. The four people in the room with drugged-out Baltar learn info that's new to them and old to us, and that's about it. Well, there's that fake-out with the jacuzzi full of Cylon goo, but...raise your hand if that fooled you for more than two seconds. Thought not.
Also, BALTAR NEEDS TO SHAVE. NOW.
Next week at least looks to be interesting for the political implications of his trial (and didn't Roslin sound deliciously evil at the end, saying, "We'll give him his trial"?). I generally like their political episodes, and Zarek is a plus.
Speaking of the ending...was Laura lying in Bill's bed? I do believe she was. And I think they might actually be implying what I think they're implying about the Admiral and the President, and if so, that's awesome, and this is the way to write a romance in a show like yours, are you listening, RDM and company?
Laura's bluffing was fairly obviously a bluff, but it was neat seeing Laura get all shouty. There was some genuine outrage in there along with the bluffing, for sure.
I think Gaeta is going to freak the hell out soon and do something really stupid because of lingering guilt. Either that, or he'll be revealed to be a Cylon. Possibly the two are not mutually exclusive.
I'm glad they did something with Six in the deleted scene at the end. I may, eventually, go to Skiffy's site and see the extended version. I get the impression that Roslin was only promising not to airlock Six, not to not kill her in some other interesting manner. I'm pretty sure Six knows this, too.
Laura's hair looked especially fabulous tonight. Just had to say that.

I'd seen a promo pic for it and was prepared to squee, although also prepared for the possibility of it being some kind of trick. That scene was really good on its own merits, and was just bumped up by an order of magnitude by the staging. *g*

I would be quite sad if Gaeta was a cylon, but it's absolutely entirely plausible.
