Kara is totally a Cylon. I think there must be something special about the Final Five that allowed them to start out as children and grow--or her childhood is all an elaborate fantasy constructed by her crazy mind. After all, didn't she meet the Adama clan in Starfleet Academy, or whatever the colonial forces academy is called? I think Lee and Bill are probably the people in the fleet who go the furthest back with her.

Or...maybe she's some kind of incarnation of a Lord of Kobol? Something weird like that?
