Today I shopped for more business casual clothes, because I'm getting heartily tired of the five dress shirts I own. I tried on this really quite cute aqua short-sleeved button down shirt with colorful little frog and lillypad silkscreens on the pocket and down in a bottom corner. Upon seeing it, my mother said, "You realize you look like a little old lady who lives in south Florida, right?"

Roll on spinsterhood. I apparently already dress like one.

(I ended up not getting the shirt, because IMO it wasn't so much "little old lady" as "little kid," and the last thing I need to do is look younger. But it was still cute.)
